GLENDA Gilson can’t wait for her cha-cha-chance to strut her stuff on Dancing With The Stars – but said she has some nerves.

The Ireland AM reporter has been announced as the first celeb to put on her sequins in a bid to claim the Glitterball Trophy when the show returns after Christmas.

Ahead of her debut, the 38-year-old admitted she is scared because she has never danced before.

She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be part of Dancing With The Stars.

“I have always been a big fan of the show but now that I am here and I am in costume, I am ready to rock.

“I am kind of a little bit scared to be honest with you.

“I am not a dancer, so this is totally out of my comfort zone, I have never danced before.”

Glenda is a big fan of the series so she is excited to begin rehearsals with her professional partner.

The mum of one added: “I have loved watching the show on TV so I’m really thrilled to be part of it.

“I can’t wait to learn how to dance, so hopefully I do that during the Christmas period and I won’t make a show of myself when I get on the live shows in January.”

The next celebrity dancers to join Glenda will be announced on The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTE Radio One tomorrow morning.

There are a number of changes ahead for the fourth series – pro dancers Valeria Milova and Vitali Kozmin will not be returning to the cast.

Ksenia Zsikhotska and Curtis Pritchard have also left after three years.

They have been replaced by Dubliner and International Open Champion Laura Nolan, Dancing With The Stars Belgium winner Pasquale La Rocca, South African Under 21 Latin Champion Kylee Vincent and UK Lation Champion Steven Vincent.

Airing on RTE One for 12 weeks from January 5 at 6.30pm, 11 celebrities will partner with their professional dancers as they take on a brand new challenge and swap their daily routines for dance routines.
