Couple tie the knot in lavish Irish wedding
GRAINNE Seoige and Leon Jordaan tied the knot in a stunning winter wedding yesterday.
The couple, who got engaged in 2013, exchanged vows in the picturesque surroundings of Cliff at Lyons in Co Kildare.
They said “I do” in a moving ceremony curated by celebrant Shoshana Dunne in front of close family and friends before enjoying the rest of the day and an evening celebration.
Grainne looked like a queen as she walked down the aisle in a bespoke sequin gown from Irish designer Don O’neill.
Her bridal look was completed with eye-catching jewellery from her own South African company Grace Diamonds. Ahead of the big day, Grainne, 46, said: “It was really important for me to have Irish designers and vendors involved in the wedding as much as possible.

“So an Irish-designed dress was a vital part of the plans for me. “I have known Don so well for years and he knows my body type and what works for me. It is custom-made, one of a kind, and I know it is going to be absolutely fabulous.”
The bride and groom were joined by Grainne’s sister Sile Seoige and fiance Damien O’farrell.
Other famous faces on the guest list included TV presenter Maura Derrane and her husband John Deasy, broadcaster Muireann O’connell, designer Don O’neill and showbiz guru and hotelier Noel Cunningham.
Leon proposed to mum-ofone Grainne in November 2013 and they waited six years to tie the knot until the timing was right.
She added: “All the planets aligned and everything came together for us. You know it is the right thing when it is easy.
“The date we wanted came up and we just decided to do it and put down the deposit.”
