A record number of over-50s got into online dating last year, according to findings from the Pew Research Centre think-tank.
If you’re thinking of trying it for yourself, dating coach Hayley Quinn says uploading the right photographs of yourself is crucial.
She says: “You don’t have to look like a supermodel in your photos. This is a good opportunity to rope in a friend or family member to take some new pictures of you.
“Rather than it being on physical looks, it’s more about you having modern photos, taken on a new camera and in natural light which presents you in the right way.
“I’d also suggest filling out the online profile – it’s hard to create a response to a blank profile.”
