Punchestown and the latest of those came behind Pencilfulloflead.

There doesn’t look to be anything of that one’s calibre in the line up and she can confirm Punchestown placings with Vent D’automne who was a neck behind her that day.

Fresh from a memorable week in Cheltenham, Gordon Elliott looks to have several good chances over the course of the day.

His is the selection in the Grade 3 Kerry Group Irish EBF Shannon Spray Novice Hurdle.

This mare loves testing ground and will relish today’s trip while she comes here off an impressive success at Leopardstown two weeks ago.

That was her first run for three months so she should have improved from that outing and this test looks ideal for her.

She might have most to fear from Well Set Up who disappointed last time but won a Grade 3 level earlier in the season as well as showing up well behind Fury Road.

Elliott might also land the three miles maiden hurdle with

who has run some solid races this season.

This gelding is finding it hard to win but is a reliable type who enjoys a test of stamina on slow ground.

He comes here off a respectable run at Leopardstown and if he can perform to that level once more he must have a great chance.

Earlier can land the opening four-year-old hurdle following an excellent second in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last month.

That showing represented a most encouraging start to his career over hurdles and a race like this should be well within his grasp.

The card concludes with a decent winners bumper where Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins field three previous bumper scorers between them.

However, they may all have to give best to whose last run at Fairyhouse saw him chase home the Cheltenham winner Ferny Hollow.
