Noreen & a young Nathan hereditary but I have two friends whose parents have it so it is becoming more common.

“We have a family friend with MS and they are in a wheelchair so we naturally thought it would be that bad.

“People suffer from MS in different ways and we are quite lucky with how my mum is at the moment. She is active and doing as much as she can.”

His parents were due to visit from

Liverpool last month but travel restrictions meant they had to stay at home.

Nathan explained: “They were meant to travel here to Ireland the week this all kicked off and they decided not to because my dad is diabetic and my mum’s MS.

“We are missing them a lot but we will get to see them again once this is all over.”

However, Nathan is not alone and he

Nathan with his family and, inset, RSVP magazine is isolating in Fermanagh with brother Jake and his girlfriend Karen Byrne.

He said: “We don’t get to see each other that often so it has been really great to spend some time together. We are exercising as much as possible.

“There are no houses near me so it is just us and the sheep. We are very fortunate to be able to get outside into the fresh air, there are a lot of people stuck in flats and apartments.

“Jake lives in an apartment in Dublin so he is delighted to be here and at least he can go for a walk, run or cycle without bumping into crowds of people.”

Nathan was even treated to a haircut from his brother which was shown on Claire Byrne Live. He said: “I was a bit nervous and I said that we were going to have to do something dramatic or else we would have looked terrible on TV.

“Jake wanted to stay safe because he would have felt very guilty if he balded me.

“I didn’t trust him doing the top though, that is normally a scissors job. He did a great job though, it is all very tidy now.”
