A LAWYER who represented Christian Bruecker in court says he believes the German may have kidnapped Madeleine Mccann.

Serafim Vieira was his brief when he was accused of stealing diesel in the Algarve in 2006.

At the hearing Brueckner told the judge he had served 18 months for a sex attack on a six-year-old

German police have been blasted since it emerged they tipped off Brueckner that he was being looked at in relation to the case and asked him if he could attend an interview – giving him the chance to dispose of any potential evidence. They have since revealed they found evidence he took a phone call in

Praia da Luz on the night that Madeleine vanished.

His old pal said: “It feels now like the police didn’t take it seriously enough at the time. The cops in Braunschweig have messed up badly. Now I feel sick to my stomach when I think about him.”

The man told us he knew a former teenage girlfriend of Brueckner, adding: “She was like a slave.” He told how Brueckner once talked to him about a bizarre plan girl in his homeland. Now Mr Vieira has told Portugal’s RTP channel he thinks Brueckner may have been behind Madeleine’s disappearance.

Asked if the German didn’t have a psychopathic temperament, he replied: “I can’t say he didn’t. On the contrary.”

And when asked about his links to the Mccann case, he replied: “I’m not surprised.”

Inga vanished in 2015

THE new owner of the home where Madeleine suspect Christian Brueckner lived fears the adjoining allotment may hold a terrifying secret.

The woman, who does not want to be named, believes the convicted paedophile may have buried the body of a missing child known as the ‘German Maddie’ in it.

She said she called police on June 8 and again on June 10 after an old pal of Brueckner suggested the possibility following his arrest.

The German is being investigated over the disappearance of five-year-old Inga Gehricke, who vanished from a forest in Germany’s Saxony-anhalt region in 2015.

The woman, 30, who works as a tour guide, said: “I want the police to dig and check.”

Brueckner owned the ‘shed with a bed’ from August 2013 to April 2016. The woman added: “The police have not been to visit. I don’t feel comfortable here now.” he had for the ‘cellar’ at his allotment home. He said: “There was a hole in the floor inside the allotment house and one day he told me he wanted to put a see-through perspex glass over it.

“I said to him ‘what the hell for? Just so you can look down into a dirty old cellar?’ Now I think maybe he wanted to build a Fritzl cellar like the guy in Austria who kept his daughter down there.”

Brueckner is now being held in prison in Kiel for a drugs offence. The paedophile also has a string of other convictions.

His former friend said: “I knew he had criminal activities. He wanted to take me with him to steal some diesel. But I didn’t know anything about children.”

The man, who last saw the suspect four years ago, added: “He was a good friend, but I feel disgusted by him now.”
