Today is a pretty special day with three generation­s of my family all together for Father’s Day; my dad Tom, me and Mia. It’s my first year to celebrate this very special occasion and I would like to thank my own parents, Liz and Mia for making this happen. And while I’m at it, I wish every dad out there all the best. Count your blessings as they say! hope that money comes a little further down the line and it doesn’t just stop with theatres and actors.

Everyone involved in entertainm­ent has to be looked after because we have all been hurt by the pandemic. The music industry has ground to a halt over the past few months and there have been prediction­s that it will be next year before we see live gigs again.

I hope that is not the case because musicians love their audiences and we all need to be able to make a living. Music is hugely important for Irish people and tourists alike so let’s hope the Government will recognise that by extending the financial support to all parts of the entertainm­ent industry.
