Zaha fear
ROY HODGSON is sweating on the fitness of Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Burnley.
Zaha limped out of Crystal Palace’s 4-0 defeat by Liverpool on Wednesday with a calf injury. Benteke missed the trip to Anfield with a muscle strain.
Hodgson said: “Luka Milivojevic and Vicente Guaita look like they will be fit so we should be a bit stronger than we were on Wednesday night. I rate Guaita’s chances very highly, but with Zaha and Benteke we will have to wait and see.”
With five of Palace’s last seven games against top-seven sides Hodgson knows a Europa League slot is an unlikely ambition now. He added: “The opportunity for a top-half finish is undoubtedly there – but a lot will depend on injuries.”
