Trump seems washed up.. dismiss him at your peril
I was left flabbergasted when White House press secretary Sean Spicer dramatically paused for ten seconds after I’d asked if Trump was a loose cannon.
He should’ve dismissed it out-ofhand in the same way if Trump had asked if he looked too fat in his emperor’s new clothes.
It was very telling how Spicer mulled my question over for so long.
But I’d bet even his worst nightmare case scenario wasn’t even a patch on what unfolded this week.
No matter how they try to dress it up, their emperor’s clown suit is now tainted with the real blood of his supporters following Wednesday’s horror show.
Trump’s legacy was already shot to pieces before his supporters stormed the Capitol.
But now the lasting impression of the outgoing US President’s reign will be the shocking image of Ashli Babbitt dying in a pool of her blood.
The 35-year-old woman would still be alive if she hadn’t been brainwashed by Trump’s lies about the Oval Office rug being pulled out from under him.
The only smoking guns in this election were discharged against American citizens themselves – and all as a result of Trump’s sleights of hand and lies. It is nothing short of a small miracle there were only four fatalities.
And you can bet your bottom dollar that there would’ve been much more blood spilled if there had been black protesters instead of the alt-right loonies.
America has officially gone insane at the moment and the lunatics have been allowed to take over the asylum as Trump’s watch counts down to its last frenzied days. How else can you explain seeing a so-called protester that looked like a warrior straight out of Game of Thrones with his horned fur hat and spear in hand?
It reminded me of a scene in the Dr Strangelove film when a fight broke out in the War Room and Peter Sellers announced, “Gentleman, you can’t fight in here! This is the war room.”
However, no one in their right mind found anything amusing about innocent blood being spilt in Washington.
America is once again the laughing stock of the world for the time under Trump. But, fingers crossed, this sorry episode will be his last sick encore. Trump came out on Thursday and claimed it would be a smooth transition of power to Biden.
But I won’t hold my breath just yet because Trump still might have some more tricks up his sleeve. He is your typical snake oil salesman and such unsavoury characters usually need to be run out of town.
It might be funny to see him being dragged, screaming and shouting from the Oval Office. But it would only exasperate an already tense situation even further.
It needs to be nipped in the bud before it ends up sparking the type of mass unrest that could leave the 1992 Los Angeles Riots in the ha’penny place. They could still end up using the long hook to drag this joker off stage. I wouldn’t be surprised if the US generals themselves were forced give him his marching orders.
I only hope he doesn’t return in four years like a bad horror sequel. Trump might have lived to fight another day as a Republican candidate if he had graciously congratulated his successor.
But Republicans will probably dump Trump now because their very survival as a party will depend on it after this fiasco.
Trump could run as an independent presidential candidate in 2024, but he was never one to put his money where his mouth is. I’d even wonder if he could bankroll it, judging by his many failed businesses and mounting debts. The only thing certain right now is how unpredictable a place America truly has become under Trump. Even though he does seem washed up, recent history has shown you dismiss him at your peril
Ivanka Trump was supposedly the voice of reason, but her mask slipped with that tweet describing the angry mob as “patriots”.
It will be another truly appalling American tragedy if she ever ends up becoming US President.
