Hughie tells of op on Living With Lucy
BY REALITY TV star Hughie Maughan has admitted he couldn’t sit down for SEVEN weeks after his bum lift plastic surgery. The Dubliner said the “horrific” procedure involved having 10 litres of fat sucked from his belly and injected into his rear – but the results were worth it. The 27-year-old also revealed his two biggest ambitions are to sleep with a porn star and have a “giant cover story” in a UK magazine. In tomorrow night’s Living With Lucy he says: “I’ve had lipo twice, I’ve had my bum made bigger, I’ve had my teeth done. You’re asleep getting it done and then you can’t sit down for seven weeks and you can’t sleep on it for seven weeks. “And you’ve got to pay for three [airplane] seats on the way home to lie down – and take off and landing you’ve got to squat because you can’t sit. “It was horrific, it was horrific. But now my belly is in my bum. I get compliments all the time.” Botox-obsessed Hughie takes Lucy along as he gets fillers in his jaw and lips, insisting: “I need to have them, I don’t need them but I want them. My jaw is disgusting. “Underneath this beard I look like Mr Blobby. I want to look a bit like an Irish Ricky Martin. “I just feel like we’re all gonna die some day, so why not just die looking how you want to look?” Hughie talks candidly about his struggles with his sexuality and his fear of coming out as gay in the Traveller community.
He tells how his family still endure “obscene” abuse from other Travellers – and how he’s had death threats from members of his own extended family.
And he says his heart is now “completely fixed” a year after his hostile split from Ryan Ruckledge who he met on Big Brother 17.
He says: “I’m at the stage now where I don’t even know what I was doing in that relationship.
“It’s been over a year so I do want to meet somebody, I like having somebody. Somebody who’s nice and family-orientated and who wants to have kids – I just worry about being old and on my own.”

But he adds: “I just want to have sex with a porn star. I want to be able to tell everyone I shagged a porn star.”
And he ranks his “tangate” on Dancing With The Stars as a stroke of genius which helped keep his TV career alive.
He says: “I wasn’t just tan I was like mahogany. Ronseal should have given me a contract.
“It’s four years ago but it was one of the most genius things I’ve done in my life.
“I never realised it was going to be so dark so it wasn’t fully deliberate, it was half deliberate.
“I put the tan on the night before, then I got a spray tan from the official people, then when I got there I started spraying more tan on.
“What happened was I went through the dress rehearsal, that ends just as the ads for the live show start. I was full of sweat patches, so I went to the dressing room and got this really dark foundation... but it was a genius idea.” ■ Living With Lucy airs on Virgin Media One tomorrow at 9pm.
