Rosenior asks fans to lay off the boos

LIAM ROSENIOR wants the boo-boys to lay-off his Hull history-makers.

The Tigers made it eight unbeaten for their best start to a Championship season. But a fourth straight home draw was met with catcalls from some fans frustrated with a build-from-the-back style.

Boss Rosenior said: “It’s frustrating because we’re fifth in the table on the back of the best-ever start to a Championship season and yet some of the fans still boo us.

“I think 99 per cent of supporters see the benefits of our style but we need to educate the others because if we stick together there are so many positive things that can happen here.”

Plymouth took a 22nd-minute lead when Ryan Allsop failed to deal with Bali Mumba’s angled drive and Adam Randell fired home the rebound.

Finn Azaz almost got a second with a low drive which struck the foot of the post and rolled along the line before being cleared.

Hull levelled when Regan Slater was left with a simple close-range tap-in from Jaden Philogene’s run and cross. Plymouth striker Morgan Whittaker had a late spot-kick appeal waved away when the went down looking for a penalty.

Then Argyle keeper Conor Hazard took centre stage with stoppage-time saves to deny Tyler Morton, Alfie Jones and Philogene.

Boss Steven Schumacher said: “Credit to Conor he’s come up with a couple of really big saves for us. We deserved a point.

“We almost got a second and had that gone in it would have really put us in control. Unfortunately for us the timing of their equaliser was crucial.”
