Duchess courts stars’ fashion guru in possible rebrand bid

EXCLUSIVE BY JOHN SIDDLE MEGHAN Markle could be set to reinvent her damaged brand after she was seen schmoozing with a top stylist who has worked with Ariana Grande.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, spent time with fashion guru Jamie Mizrahi at a recent Katy Perry gig in Las Vegas.

The ex-suits star sat next to Jamie, 35, whose clients also include Adele and Jennifer Lawrence, at a pre-show dinner.

A source claimed: “They were deep in conversation.

“It looked like Meghan is going for a restyle and Jamie is the go-to stylist for every Hollywood A-lister, including Katy Perry and Britney Spears.

“The Sussex brand has been damaged in recent months and Meghan probably thinks a new look will be good for business.”

Harry, 39, and Meghan were slammed for taking a private jet with pals for a whirlwind 720-mile round trip from California to Vegas for the last show of Perry’s residency.

The Sussexes are the face of a sustainable travel initiative and the Duke has warned climate change is setting the “world on fire”.

They have spent large amounts of 2023 at their nine-bedroom estate in Montecito, California, after damaging controversies. Meghan’s half-sister Samantha is trying to sue her over comments made in the Sussexes’ Netflix documentary. Meghan may have to testify in court and release private messages and emails. In June, the pair were ditched from their reported £18million Spotify contract after producing just 12 episodes of the Archetypes podcast. Harry was ostracised by the Royal Family over his memoir, Spare, in which he claimed he was physically attacked by his brother William. He also said Wills and Kate, the Princess of Wales, encouraged him to wear a Nazi uniform to a fancy-dress party in 2005. In 2021, Meghan was styled for a Time magazine cover by fashionista Nina Hallworth. And before the couple quit the UK for California, Meghan used Maria Means Cote, celebrity relations manager for Prada, to help put together her ensembles. This was a change for the Duchess. In 2019, Daniel Martin, who did her wedding make-up, said: “She doesn’t have a stylist. Everything she wears she picks herself. It’s pretty incredible that she can manage all of this.”
