IAN EVATT cannot wait to work with his Bolton players every week.

George Thomason’s special goal was enough as Wanderers made it five league wins in a row.

“What an advert for League One football,” Evatt said. “The togetherness in the group, they are amazing. I can’t wait to get back out on the grass with them again. It excites me working with this group of players.”

Away boss Neil Critchley said: “I can’t fault us.”

Wigan boss Shaun Maloney said: “I can’t say a negative thing.”

DEFLATED boss Andy Crosby criticised Port Vale’s naivety at the back.

Ben Garrity’s first-half effort was cancelled out by Lincoln sub Olamide Shodipo at the death.

Vale saw Oli Arblaster sent off and boss Crosby said: “It was naive defending at a key time.”

Imps’ Paudie O’connor saw red and caretaker Tom Shaw said: “Good sides come through and we’ve shown that.”

Peterborough 5 Cambridge 0

MARK BONNER knows Cambridge will have to face the music after this rout.

Ephron Mason-clark’s 34th and 37th-minute double was soon followed by a deflected Kwame Poku strike, with Poku adding a fourth, before Liam Bennett put through his own net.

“We know we’ll get slaughtered, but we’ll have to take it. They’re the best we’ve played,” Bonner said.

“I’ve been waiting for that since the start of the year,” said Posh’s Darren Ferguson.

Shrewsbury 3 Reading 2

RUBEN SELLES wants Reading to be more ruthless after their woeful away form continued.

Sam Smith and Dom Ballard put the visitors 2-0 up, but Shrewsbury pulled one back through Tom Bayliss before halftime and Chey Dunkley and Jason Sraha scored in stoppage time.

Selles said: “It’s painful. We didn’t finish the job. At the end we were not ruthless enough.”

Carlisle 0 Bristol Rovers 1

ANDY MANGAN could not fault Bristol Rovers’ battling qualities.

Sam Lavelle’s own-goal gave them a lead they held onto, despite Tristan Crama’s red card.

Mangan said: “Their endeavour and desire to see that through after the sending-off is amazing. The lads deserve credit .”

Carlisle’s Paul Simpson said: “It’s fine margins that we keep falling on the wrong side of.”

Derby 3 Barnsley 0

PAUL WARNE talked up the importance of Derby’s win.

James Collins bagged a brace and Craig Forsyth also found the net. Warne said: “Credit to the players, they were excellent today.

“It’s a boost for the dressing room and the lads back themselves when they are at their best and today they were and we could have competed against anyone.”

Barnsley head coach Neill Collins said: “Up until the third goal, I didn’t think there was anything in the game.”

Leyton Orient 2 Oxford 3

“We had a huge number of chances that we didn’t put away, and we have been undone at the death,” he said.

Wycombe 0 Stevenage 1

LUKE LEAHY and Brandon Hanlan were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Hanlan injured a knee and Leahy was also stretchered off. “It was a really scary moment when he (Leahy) went down. He was unresponsive for a while and our doctor was extremely concerned for Luke,” said Matt Bloomfield.

Jamie Reid scored the only goal, and Steve Evans said: “There were discussions about whether the game should continue.”
