Call it intuition or insanity...but I embrace angels

-

IF you’d asked me 10 years ago whether I believed in angels I’d have replied: “Not a chance, pull me another pint.”

But my mind was opened at a recent angel channelling event with Victoria Mary Clarke. I don’t mind admitting I’m into this woo woo stuff since quitting booze, it’s invigorating.

Multiple studies show that channelling is experienced on a spectrum.

On the one side you’ve got intuition and gut feeling whilst somewhere in the middle you’ve got telepathy or clairvoyance.

In rare experiences like trance channelling you can have an outer body experience.

Entering the Positive Life event in Dalkey, South Dublin, I was hoping I would transcend into some kind of magical vortex, but the experience is more subtle.

First off to clear my chakras I’m doused in sage before taking a seat. Sitting in the intimate crowd of soul searchers a warm glow comes over me.

I meet David Williams, a creative activation coach who helps blocked creatives reclaim their mojo. Victoria is seated at the top of the room with her hand-painted angel art behind her.

She tells the gathering how channelling angels, especially Metatron, has been a huge comfort to her during hubby Shane Macgowan’s health battle.

Shane was hospitalised with viral encephalitis, a potentially life-threatening condition that causes the brain to

swell, last December. This week, Victoria posted a snap of the Pogues legend being visited by bandmates Spider Stacy and Terry Woods – and posted an intimate photo of her and Shane sharing a kiss.

Shane looked frail and it’s moments like these that our belief systems are crucial.

She tells the audience how Shane was famed for his life as frontman of the Pogues and he had his purpose – but she pondered what hers was until she began to channel angels.

At the event Victoria encourages us to get up out of our seats and dance, chant and shake around, clearing our energies so we can begin channelling.

The pagans loved this carry-on she informs us adding that we all have the

power to channel.

At first I feel like a nut job but then there’s a shift, I let go and it feels euphoric.

We then write down our dreams and ask our angel to help attain our goal.

As Victoria guides us through the channelling I hear a whisper in my ear telling me to ‘just start the book’.

I had written down on the piece of paper that my dream was to become a self-help author.

I could have forced myself to hear the whisper for dramatic effect but what if I hadn’t?

Call it intuition or angels but if something is guiding us to do something great it’s time to leave scepticism at the door and embrace the whispers.
