Peterborough 2 Doncaster 1
GRANT MCCANN hit out at the officials after Doncaster bowed out of the cup.
Harrison Burrows and Ephron Mason-clark put Peterborough 2-0 ahead before Mo Faal, earlier denied by the offside flag, reduced the deficit.
Mccann said: “We just needed a bit of the rub of green away from home and we didn’t seem to get it.”
Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “We didn’t play as well as we have been and we were off it a bit.”
Maidstone 2 Barrow 1
MAIDSTONE boss George Elokobi saluted Bivesh Gurung’s winner.
Ben Whitfield had Barrow ahead before the National League South side replied through Sam Corne and Gurung.
Elokobi said: “It was an absolute blockbuster, just an excellent hit. As soon as it left his boot I knew the ball was going in.”
Barrow boss Pete Wild said: “I’m thinking ... how did we lose that?”
Bolton 5 Harrogate 1
IAN EVATT is amazed by the goalscoring potential of his Bolton side.
Replacement strikers Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Dan Nlundulu (right) hit a hat-trick and a brace to render George Thomson’s goal redundant.
“The two centre-forwards were excellent, they were the biggest plus of the day by miles,” said Evatt.
Harrogate boss Simon Weaver said: “Conceding five by 55 minutes is a source of embarrassment.”
Newport 1 Barnet 1
DEAN BRENNAN insisted a replay was the least Barnet deserved.
Danny Collinge’s late header earned the National League side a draw after Shane Mcloughlin had put Newport in front.
“To come here and only give them one corner, that shows our dominance in possession,” said Brennan.
Graham Coughlan said: “We had chances to put the game to bed.”
Wycombe 0 Morecambe 2
GED BRENNAN felt his Morecambe side outclassed Wycombe to reach the third round for the second year in a row.
Goals in each half from Eli King and Tom Bloxham helped produce an upset and Brennan said: “I’m absolutely delighted as I thought the lads were outstanding.”
Wycombe struggled to create chances and manager Matt Bloomfield admitted: “The intensity is the main thing that was missing. We looked lethargic.”
