EXCLUSIVE MARK JEFFERIES

By Showbiz Editor in Queensland MARVIN Humes was so emotional at stumbling across wife Rochelle in the jungle that he compared it to seeing her walk down the aisle when they got married.

The JLS singer’s face was a picture of pride as he walked into the empty camp to find her sitting there – as all five surviving competitors were given precious moments with loved ones.

I’m A Celeb viewers hailed them as the perfect couple after watching the reunion on Friday night.

Less than 24 hours later, Marvin, 38, became the eighth person to leave the ITV show after losing the public vote.

Describing the moment he found his wife sitting on the camp throne, Marvin said: “It reminded me of our wedding day, seeing Rochelle at the end of the aisle.

“Seeing her in that chair… I’d no idea. I thought I was going to do a random challenge. I’ve watched it back, I’ve never seen myself pull that face before.

That three weeks apart makes you so grateful for what you’ve got.”

Marvin, who is also a DJ and TV presenter, had sent daily messages of love to children Alaia-mai, 10, Valentina, six, and three-year-old Blake by tapping his heart while on screen.

And after getting back to his hotel, he was finally able to Facetime them.

Marvin said: “Valentina burst into tears when she saw me. Then I started. Rochelle and I were blubbering messes.

“When I went in, Alaia-mai said, ‘Daddy, I want you to conquer your fears’. I was able to show them you can do anything if you put your mind to it.”

As well as memories, Marvin may have some battle scars to take home.

He said: “The trials with all the cockroaches, the rats, the spiders… that was hard. But the green ants, they won. See the back of my neck, the scars… that’s three weeks old. They really took to me.

“The last few nights I’ve been dreaming I was doing trials. I felt things crawling around my legs. I woke up, looked in my sleeping bag and there was a cockroach in there.”

Tipping Tony Bellew or Sam Thompson to win, he said: “Sam is so kind. His reaction if he wins would be amazing. He’s one of a kind… he lights up the camp.

“Tony comes in with this macho persona but every day another layer would be peeled away. He’s a different man… that’s so endearing. He has the biggest heart, and he’s so funny.”
