Frustrated Moore ignoring drop zone and aiming high

-

DARREN MOORE said his Huddersfield side are not looking down just yet – despite the relegation battle tightening up.

The 21st-placed Terriers were denied a penalty when Bristol City’s George Tanner handled in the box. The Robins had the better of the game though, with Huddersfield doing well to escape with a point.

Yet with teams below them winning, the pressure is ramping up on the

Yorkshiremen. Moore said: “It’s about to maximising what we can do as a football club.

“We can’t affect results around us.”

On the penalty shout, Moore added: “It was a handball. I’m not going to tell people what they’ve not seen. The most important person we needed to see it didn’t see it or think it warranted handball.

“He’s just missed it. It’s understandable.”

Huddersfield goalkeeper Chris Maxwell was quickly on duty having to deny first Mark Sykes and then Tommy Conway.

The Terriers improved and struck when David Kasumu broke free on the counter-attack and teed up Dutch forward Delano Burgzorg to finish.

The Robins equalised when a sweeping move culminated in captain Andreas Weimann crossing for Conway to tap in.

Robins boss Liam Manning said: “It was frustrating. You have to be ruthless.”
