JARROD AIMS FOR ANOTHER AWAY-DAY PARTY

- REPORTING

JARROD BOWEN says there is no secret to his away-day heroics – he just loves scoring goals.

The England international has netted in all seven of his Premier League away appearances this season and Fulham are next on his hit-list.

“I don’t know what the secret is but I’m just trying to score in every game I play in – whether that’s home or away,” said Bowen.

The 26-year-old is in elite company – only Sergio Aguero and Robin van Persie have also mustered goals in seven successive away top-flight outings.

Van Persie currently holds the record with nine but Bowen has been left in the dark as to whether his incredible goal-scoring efforts still count towards an official streak.

That’s because the attacker missed the recent 2-1 win at Burnley with a knee injury meaning the statisticians are likely to rain on his parade.

Bowen disagrees, however, should that be so. He added: “I don’t know, I’m going to ask a question to the Premier League if I can... well, I’m not!

“But, if they do say anything, I’d say well I didn’t play against Burnley so the run technically continues.”

The former Hull forward is now relishing a central role as the main man in David Moyes’ dangerous attack due to a number of attacking injuries – a challenge he has taken in his stride.

Fulham will be no rollover, though, having netted 11 goals in their past three matches.

“It will be difficult. I saw the result against Forest and we always knew it was going to be a tough game,” Bowen said of the Cottagers. “It’s always tough when we play them but we can take our qualities into the game as well, analyse our performance and look at what we can improve on. We’ll look at Fulham, what threats they pose and we’ll work towards that for the game.”
