Rosenior hits the boos after watching his men fall short

- By ROSS HEPPENSTALL

LIAM ROSENIOR surveyed the wreckage of a dismal defeat which saw Hull booed off – and admitted: “We deserved nothing.”

The Tigers slipped out of the play-off places after Swansea clinched victory through Liam Cullen’s 11th-minute strike.

The striker tucked away Josh Tymon’s left-wing corner with a neat shot and Hull offered no response.

Boss Rosenior, who side had won their previous two games, said: “We were way off in terms of our levels, energy and pressing.

“We gave the ball away cheaply, which is not us, and when you do that you give the opposition energy.

“Yet we’re still in the position to achieve what we want to achieve.” Rosenior was handed several new signings last month – and tasked with taking Hull to a top-six finish.

Yet they looked anything but promotion contenders against the Swans, who registered Luke Williams’ first league win.

Williams, who took the reins last month, said: “It was a fantastic performance and an even more fantastic result.

“Liam’s goal was a work of art, a well-worked set-piece, and I’ve got a lot to prove to a lot of people but I expect that.

“I don’t think everyone is going to believe everything you say. I have to earn it.”

Rosenior will demand a response from his men when they travel to Rotherham in midweek.
