Pop twins twist the knife as Walsh loses Big Brother final
JEDWARD stuck the knife in after Louis Walsh failed to win Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night – declaring: “Mission complete.”
The pop duo from Dublin - real names John and Edward Grimes - celebrated as their former manager was booted out in fourth place.
Jedward shot to fame on X Factor 2009 but their relationship with Louis, 71, soured and they have had a public spat with him for some time.
The twins, now aged 32, reunited with reality star Gemma Collins to share video footage of the trio singing Sophie Ellis Bextor’s classic hit Murder on the Dancefloor.
Posting on X, formerly Twitter, they wrote: “F*** Yes, Louis is not the winner #CBBUK Mission Complete.”
Earlier this week, the twins threatened to enter the Big Brother house after footage of Louis denouncing them as “vile” was broadcast.
Former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating also got a dig in – but was reluctant to elaborate on his spat with the band’s former manager.
Asked for his thoughts on Louis by Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty he would only say: “I’ve never been one to air my dirty laundry in public, especially when it comes to Louis and myself.
“He does a very good job of that. I think he’s showing his true colours in there. I’ll leave him be, I’ll let him do that.”
After his eviction Louis said he’d struggled with anxiety and almost quit the reality show multiple times as a result.
He explained: “There were a few nights where I was in a really bad place. Honestly, honestly, honestly. One or two times, I wanted to leave. I wanted to climb over the wall. Luckily I stayed. But there were a few times.”
Ibiza Weekender star David Potts, 32, won CBB with Strictly pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin second and Corrie star Colson Smith placed third.
The live final of the reality show drew more than one million viewers in the UK.
