Solo Little Mix singer has high hopes for collab Jade Thirlwall’s solo chapter is finally coming – and a collaboration with superstar Tyla is on the cards.

We can reveal the Little Mix star will drop her long-awaited debut this summer.

And it may well feature a duet with South African viral sensation Tyla, who won a Grammy before releasing her own debut album.

A source said: “Jade has taken her time with her new music because it’s important that her solo record stands out in a crowded market place.

“Her record label also wanted to avoid clashes with her bandmates’ releases and they agreed between them that Jade will release next.

“She has been in private talks with several Little Mix fan groups and has taken their ideas on board and is producing music that pushes the envelope.”

The source added: “She is also angling for a duet with 22-year-old Tyla, who has a huge social media following. They are both signed to Sony and their respective A&RS are trying to make it happen.” Jade, 31, has been crafting her alternative sound with hitmakers such as RAYE, Jax Jones and Bastille’s Dan Smith. While her first release is still under wraps, she has registered a song called Midget, which was penned with Glasvegas frontman James Allan. Earlier this month, Jade, who is dating Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens, was spotted filming what was believed to be a music video in Lewisham, South London.

The singer, wearing a long blue coat, sunglasses and a tall blonde wig, could be seen pushing through crowds of people and throwing money into in the air while being followed by paparazzi.

Her Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards recently hinted that Jade’s debut solo hit was on the way.

During promo for her Ed Sheeran-penned debut Forget About Us, which peaked at No.10 in the charts, Perrie said: “I know when Jade’s music is coming, so not to release anything, and vice versa.

“We do keep each other in the loop with that kind of thing.”

Meanwhile, in sad news for fellow bandmate Leigh-anne Pinnock, we hear plans for a full-length debut album have been shelved until next year – and may even be scrapped by her label, Warner Records, following a lukewarm response.

Leigh-anne was the second member of Little Mix to go solo, after estranged bandmate Jesy Nelson.

Her track Don’t Say Love charted at No.11 last June, while follow-up My Love peaked at 28. Stealin’ Love, which was released last month, failed to chart.
