ANNUAL CYCLE

St Kearn’s Rowing Club are holding their annual fundraising cycle from St Kearn’s to Hook Head and back on Sunday, June 12, at 12.30 p.m.

Registration on the shore at St Kearn’s from 11.30 a.m. Entry fee is €15 per person and includes refreshments and barbecue at the finish line. Cyclists must be over 16 years of age and the wearing of helmets is advised.

The event will be followed by the launch of a new rowing boat at 3 p.m. For furthe information contact Paddy Kehoe at 087 9711395. LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. James O’Brien, Somers Way was the only match-three winner and he received €400. The numbers drawn were 13, 25, 26 and 27. Next week’s jackpot will be €10,700 and next week’s matchthree winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members. THE OVER NINETY CLUB

Luckily we are blessed with many men and women in the parish who have celebrated their ninetieth birthday. Plans are afoot to compile a record of those who are 90 and over.

Anyone who has a family member of that age living in the parish are asked to contact Breda at 087 3626216 or Billy at 086 0771029 to arrange for a photograph to be taken. Photos will be published in Tintern review later this year. PATRON

The annual Patron and blessing of graves in Clonmines Cemetery will take place on Friday, June 24, at 7.30 p.m.
