There was a tie for first place in the Progressiv­e 45 Card Game in Colclough Hall, Saltmills last Sunday night between Joan Fardy, Molly Whelan and Maureen Eustace and Johnnie Doyle, Eileen Doyle and Dick Power. In third place were David Murphy, Georgie Foley and Siobhan Doyle. The last game draw was won by Kathleen Cadogan, Mary Doran and Statia Finn. Congratula­tions to the Poulfur boys who completed the Rackard League District during the week when defeating Ramsgrange schools in the hurling final 4-9 to 0-2. They qualified for the County semi-final where they defeated Kilanerin. after a nail biting finish. Final score Poulfur 1-10 Kilanerin 1-7 They are now through to the County Final. Cúl Camp will be on this year from July 18 to July 22 in Fethard/St Mogue’s pitch in Ramstown.

St Kearn’s Rowing Club are holding their annual fundraisin­g cycle from St Kearn’s to Hook Head and back on Sunday, June 12, at 12.30 p.m. Registrati­on on the shore at St Kearn’s from 11.30 a.m. Entry fee is €15 per person and includes refreshmen­ts and barbecue at the finish line. Cyclists must be over 16 years of age and the wearing of helmets is advised.
