Clonroche National school would like to take this opportunit­y to extend their sincere appreciati­on to Cloughbawn GAA club, for affording us the opportunit­y to host our school’s first 5k from their premises. It was truly a most enjoyable morning.

Thank you to the Parents and children who supported and participat­ed in the event. To those who sponsored prizes and to those who made donations, thank you for your kindness and generosity.

The winner of the 5K was past pupil Gary Kehoe, second Maria Byrne and in third place Nic Walkden. The first school girl and school boy home were: Kate Flood and Jimmy Connors. Well done to all. RACKARD LEAGUE

The club will hold their dinner dance on July 9 in Danby Lodge. Tickets will be on sale next week, from committee members, after the sucessful year, we would like for everyone to make an effort to attend and celebrate with the winning teams. HISTORICAL SOCIETY
