Good Counsel College pupil Mark Rossiter from Gusserane was delighted with his results after a patchy night’s sleep due to some pre-Leaving Cert results jitters.
Mark was delighted with how he fared in Maths and is going on to study Accounting in Waterford. He said he will miss playing sports and the craic at the school.
Another Gusserane man Mark O’Neill said he was very happy with his results and plans to study Forestry in WIT.
Liam Walsh from Mullinavat knew a fortnight previously that he would be going on to study at Kildalton College. He said: ‘I’ll miss the craic with the lads.’
Denis Maher from Rathnure wasn’t letting any of the histrionics of the day get to him. He was very pleased with his results and is looking forward to studying Psychology in UCD. Páraic Dowling from Glenmore said she was very nervous arriving at school for his results, but ended up delighted with how he got on. Páraic plans to study TV & Media Production in IT Carlow. A big movie buff he hopes to work in television or movies.
Páraic said he will miss Good Counsel College. ‘ They did good by me over the last six years,’ he said.
John Byrne from Tullogher said he was very happy with his results. He plans to go on to study primary teaching in St Pat’s.
