Congratulations to William Kinsella and staff of the Wildflower Cafe, at Beechdale Garden Centre who recently scooped the Best Customer service award in the Restaurant section at the South East Radio Hospitality awards.
Wells House and Gardens, Gorey, La Cóte, Wexford Mary Barry’s Seafood Bar and restaurant, Kilmore, The Red Kettle, Wexford were the other nominees in this category.
Radio listeners voted for their favourite bar, restaurant or hotel. From their votes, a shortlist was formed with each nominee receiving a visit from esteemed judges. Well done all on a job well done. SPLIT-THE-POT

Well done to Clonrochegirls Rackard League football team who overcame St Aidan’s school, Enniscorthy in their first match of the season on a scoreline of 6-6 to 1-2. Our two under-12 teams played their finals on Saturday in Ferns Centre of Excellence results in next week’s notes.
Well done to our under-16 girls who won their county semi-final vs Bunclody with a score of 4-6 to 1-7. The county final will take place on Sunday, October 9, at 11 a.m. vs Kilross Gaels or Castletown. Venue to be confirmed.
The intermediate girls played their Shield semi-final vs. Duffry Rovers on Friday in Cloughbawn. Results in next week’s notes also. RACQUETBALL LEAGUE
