Church Gate Collection­s: The Wexford Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland would like to thank all who supported their Church Gate Collection recently, €344 was raised. The Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorth­y would like to thank all who supported their recent Church Gate Collection, €261 was raised.

BINGO

Bingo is on every Tuesday night at 8.30 p.m. in Rathnure hall. Christmas sit-beside prizes start this Tuesday night, November 22. In addition, we are currently running a jackpot, which is worth €200 at the moment and will increase by €100 each week till it is won.

SENIOR SOCIAL CLUB

Senior Social Club meet each Thursday in the hall. Come along for a chat, tea, cakes and bingo.

ST ANNE’S GAA

The AGM will take place on Sunday, December 4, at 1.30 p.m. in the Syl Barron Memorial Room. All members are asked to attend.

Buzzy Bees meet every Saturday morning, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Martin Codd Hurling Arena.

Club lotto – The numbers drawn last Tuesday the 15th were 1, 7, 8 and 15. No jackpot winner. Dan O’Flaherty, Barntown, Margaret Murphy, Ballindagg­in, Suzanne Kelly, Taghmon, Pádraig O’Leary, Coolbawn, Jimmy Kavanagh, Curlough, The Ballagh, Kayla Reddy, Ballygibbo­n, Pádraig O’Leary, Coolbawn and Kathleen Hohoan, Rathnure were the eight match-three winners who each won 25. The jackpot this Tuesday night is €9,600.

CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS

Well done to all involved on Saturday the fifth as our junior girls recently won the County Final beating Craanford 1-14 to 0-04. Another great win for the club.

Thank you to everyone who supported our dance in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriati­on Trust on Saturday, November 5. Thank you to Rathnure Hall Committee for the use of the hall. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, gave donations and sponsored the printing of the tickets, door prizes and raffle prizes. A special word of thanks to Jim and Ann O’Connell for all their help and to everyone who donated buns and cakes on the night.

A total of €6,000.00 was raised and will be presented along with money raised from other functions to Colin Bell on January 2, 2017, in the Ash Tree, Ballywilli­am.

KILLANNE SPLIT-THE-POT

The winner of the Split-the-Pot draw held in the Ash Tree on November 10 was Brendan Stafford who won €100. The next draw will take place on 24th in Conrans and is the last draw to be in with a chance of winning a house alarm worth €500.

HANDBALL CLUB

Templeudig­an Handball Club held their 34th AGM during the week and reflected on yet another successful year for the club. The following committee was elected for the coming year – President: Brian O’Neill Snr., Chairperso­n: Micheál O’Neill, Vice Chairperso­n: David Redmond, Secretary/PRO: Niamh Murphy, Treasurer: Breda Ryan, Juvenile Officer: Anne Boland. The Racquetbal­l Tournament will commence in the coming days and membership is due immediatel­y. Best of luck to all. The next monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 11.

KILTEALY CRAFT FAIR

Kicking off the festive spirit, Kiltealy Voluntary Cardiac Response are having a fundraisin­g Christmas Craft Fair in the Community Hall on Sunday, November 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids’ activities with Mrs Claus helping out on the day. Come along and get your Christmas present and see the fantastic work your local crafters have on show and soak up the festive atmosphere. Please support.
