Talent show’s judges revealed
THE judging panel for the hotly-anticipated 2017 Wexford Has Talent auditions has been announced and include well-known personalities from around the county: Tony Carty, George Lawlor, Pat Lawlor, Catherine ‘Biddy’ Walsh, Anita Cullen and Yvette Walsh.
A panel at least three judges will help performers through the audition stages and are on hand to support and encourage all of the acts whilst also coming to the very tough decision to create the successful shortlist of acts.
Two days of auditions will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 7 and 8 at Clayton Whites Hotel in Wexford town. Competitors are invited to pre-book their free audition spot online at www.wexfordhastalent.com. Alternatively anyone wishing to take part can also attend the audition weekend without a pre-booking and take a place in the queue during the audition weekend.
The competition is open to all ages and all manner of talents and it is free to enter. The winner of the Wexford Has Talent competition 2017 will walk away with a €2,000 prize fund and, for the first time, two new additional prizes of €500 have been added to the prize pot. Qualifiers from the audition stage will be notified of a place at either Semi Final 1 (January 14) or Semi Final 2 (January 21) where they will perform in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The finalists from each of these events will qualify for the ‘Wexford Has Talent Grand Final’, which takes place on February 11, at Clayton Whites Hotel. The Wexford People are the 2017 sponsors of Wexford Has Talent competition. Tickets to the semi finals and final event will go on sale from December 16.
