DANNY’S CARD IS THE WINNER

-

DANNY HOWLIN, a sixth class pupil in Kilrane National School was the winner of a Christmas card competition held by Roche Freight – he drew a Santa picture which the company is sending out to 400 customers at home and abroad this festive season.

The winning school received a €1,200 voucher for Prim-Ed in New Ross while the other participants, Tagoat and Rosslare Strand national schools, were given vouchers for €750 each.

Hundreds of entries were submitted, with children letting their imaginations run riot and placing Roche Freight at the centre of all kinds of festive scenarios.

Danny’s colourful drawing of a truck pulled skyward by a reindeer, right, was the winning entry. He received a €50 voucher for himself.

His school was also given a €1,000 donation to a charity of its choice and selected Kilrane National School Special Needs Awareness Group as the recipient.
