Visit Wexford plans for future

-

As 2016 comes to a close, the Visit Wexford Sales and Marketing committee met at the Ferrycarrig Hotel Wexford to reflect on 2016 and are busy making plans for 2017 with a key focus to bring Tourism and Conference business to Wexford. The Sales and Marketing committee of Visit Wexford is made up of Marketing professionals from across the tourism industry in the county who harness their joint expertise including: compiling joint brochures; and attending Trade Shows and events on behalf of Visit Wexford throughout the year. The main objective for the Visit Wexford Group is to increase both international and domestic visitor numbers to the county of Wexford. One key focus is to build the brand of Ireland’s Ancient East of which our Wexford Attractions are fully embracing and supporting. They hope to bring awareness to all businesses in the county on how we can benefit from being part of such a strong Failte Ireland brand. An information event to be held in early 2017 by Visit Wexford will focus on how best businesses can get involved in this important campaign. Chair of the Visit Wexford Hotel Sales & Marketing committee, Sarah Caulfield from the Talbot Hotel Wexford said it was very important ‘ that we go out to the market both at home and overseas and support County Wexford as a must visit county if planning to visit the south east. Visitor numbers for County Wexford have had a good increase in 2016, by working together we hope add to this significantly in 2017.’
