Exciting move to new business park

JIM HUGHES, CEO OF INNOVATE IN GOREY

-

AS HOME-GROWN tech firm, Innovate prepares to become the anchor tenant in a new business and technology park in Gorey, we asked company CEO Jim Hughes about his hopes and aspirations for 2017.

‘2016 has seen Innovate continue to deliver on its mission which is to become the market leader in transforming the consumption of technology to the cloud service model.

‘ Through our empowerment model we continue to strive to make a significant difference to our people, our community and our industry.

‘Our people and our customers have always been our two most important stakeholders. Our plans for Innovate therefore have always been built on striving to make Innovate’s culture our competitive advantage.

‘ That culture is built on the premise that better people make a better Innovate, therefore Innovate must make our people better.

‘Ingraining this as our philosophy has meant that we have always looked to be better today than we were yesterday.

‘ Through our culture our plan for the organisation is to continue to deliver on our vision and 2016 has certainly seen our team mature and grow into our collective vision, which is to build a company of real significance from Wexford, with a national and international focus.

‘ That said, I am not one for looking back, always preferring to deal with the detail of the present while planning three years to five years ahead. ‘Obviously one of the big milestones in 2017 will see Innovate relocate to Innovation House. This move symbolises a new theme for a new time for north Wexford and the culmination of a lot of people’s hard work, our own team of course, but also many others who continue to be vested in seeing Innovate achieve at the highest level. ‘2017 will above all else continue to see us invest into our biggest asset, our people. We will also continue to invest into our brand. As a result of our entire team’s time, dedication, effort and input, our brand now represents much more than just a name, term, design or symbol that distinguishes us from our competitors. ‘It symbolises our mission, vision and strategy; it represents our values, it embodies our culture and above all it is our promise. We are unique in that our name ‘Innovate’ is our brand, it is a huge asset and something we take very seriously. ‘We see everyone in Innovate as a brand ambassador and consider all investments in corporate social responsibility and sponsorship as extensions of our brand. We therefore perform significant due diligence to ensure all investments reflect our values and enhance our brand. This will continue to be the case in 2017 and beyond.’
