IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

WEXFORD Has Talent - lots of it.

And on Saturday night (February 11) 15 top acts will be battling out in the grand final of the 2017 Wexford People-sponsored Wexford Has Talent competitio­n.

Over the past weeks of heats hundreds of performers took to the stage at Clayton Whites Hotel, with the final 15 chosen from a highly-talented pool of the best acts in the county.

The finalists come from a wide range of discipline­s, from singers to ballet, from hip hop to theatre.

Those in the grand final are: Ballerina Sorcha Finn, singer Éabha Carty, 7th Fret harmony group, singer Will Troy Walsh, singer Caoimhe Troy, singer Jirat O’Neill, operatic singer Emma Hore, singer Hayley Crosbie, singer and guitarist Aaron McStein, pole artist Danielle Reck, 19-year-old singer Adi Roche O’Leary, 15-year-old musical theatre performer Caoimhe Boyle, from Foulkesmil­ls, 13-year-old singer Aoife Goodison, 19-yearold Wexford towm singer Luke Hayes and hip hop dance troupe Hysteria.

The judges say the standard of talent for the 2017 Grand Final is the best yet.

The Grand Final is set to be a wonderful evening of entertainm­ent, adrenalin and fun.

Tickets for the Grand Final are €15 and are on sale at Clayton Whites Hotel; the show will commence at 8 p.m. sharp.

The winner of the competitio­n will walk away with a cash prize of €2,000 and this year, for the first time, two additional prizes of €500 have been added to the prize pot.
