New Ross man wins Circuit Court appeal

A NEW ROSS man was successful in his appeal when it came before Wexford Circuit Criminal Court.

Patrick Rochford, of 53 Pondfields, New Ross, Co. Wexford, brought his appeal against a District Court conviction before Judge Barry Hickson.

On July 12, 2016, Rochford was convicted at Wexford District Court and fined €3000 for failing to comply with direction of Garda Pat Kelly at Camblin, New Ross, on February 1, 2016.

Following the hearing of evidence in the case, Judge Hickson allowed the appeal striking out the District Court order.

The appellant represented himself in the appeal.
