The Tullogher-Rosbercon Community Alert are a group interested in maintainin­g the welfare of parish residents by alerting them to possible interferen­ce and perhaps robbery on their property. We ask all to be vigilant in this regard and report any suspicious activities to 083 1999585. If a friend or neighbour requires a monitoring alarm, the first year for the item is free of charge. The GAA Developmen­t Draw was held in the clubhouse Brownstown on March 28. Taking the first prize of €250 was Andy Murphy while cheques for €100 went to Jack Ryan and Adam Mulligan respective­ly. Winners of €50 each were Mary and Brigid Phelan, Edward Hanrahan, Jim Ryan and Paddy Phelan. The next draw will be held on Tuesday, April 25, and contact any committee member if you wish to join in. LENTEN ALMS COLLECTION

The Lenten Alms Collection for Diocesan and local charities will be taken up this weekend, Saturday/Sunday the eighth/April 9 at all Masses immediatel­y after Communion. Please note there is an envelope for donations in the batch recently delivered to you and all are asked to be as generous as possible. PALM SUNDAY

This coming Sunday, April 9, is Palm Sunday and palms will be blessed at all Masses in the parish.

Traditiona­lly people like to bring a sprig or two of blessed palm and place it in the home. COMMUNITY WELCOME

We welcome into our Parish Community Mark Richard Alger son of Chris and Lisa (née Merrigan) from Kilbrahan. He was baptised in the Church of the Assumption Rosbercon on Saturday, March 25. THANK YOU

The New Ross Community Hospital wish to thank the parishione­rs of Listerlin for their response to the recent annual collection held in St David’s Church. It realised €121-19 for which the recipients are very grateful. ST JOSEPH’S ATHLETICS

St Joseph’s Athletic Club was founded in 1968 and will be 50 years in existence in 2018. Plans are already in place for the anniversar­y celebratio­ns and the club is looking for old photograph­s, medals, trophies, club singlets and any memorabili­a from 1968 to the early 1990s.
