DAFFODIL DAY 2017

The local organisers of Daffodil Day 2017 would like thank you so much for supporting this annual event, local people came together to stop cancer by selling daffodils on the streets, as well as hosting events in their communities and workplace. Thank you once again for your hard work and fantastic support. Total funds raised in Cloughbawn was €630. SPLIT-THE-POT

The winner of split-the-pot drawn in the Boro Inn was Bridget Ffrench Raheen, The pot was €360, envelopes available at local business and Post Office. MEALS ON WHEELS

Wexford Academy dancers are holding a table quiz in Byrne’s Lounge, Bree on Thursday, April 13, at 9 p.m. in aid of their Costume Fund. All support appreciated. COMMUNITY GAMES

The Community Games County Talent Competition for under-12s and under-16s takes place in Bree Hall on Saturday, May 13, Competitors from Bree, Davidstown and Cloughbawn parishes are invited to take part. Events are solo and group dancing, singing, music and drama. Entries must be with the area sec by April 28 Please check with the area sec Clare at 087 4151350 or the Community Games website under Resources/Rule Book of each event. The local Athletic Finals will take place on Thursday, May 11.
