RESURGENT Wexford developer is growing in confidence as prices increase throughout the county.

Gleann an Ghairdín in Gorey is the latest development brought to market by the Wexford developers, Wexford Low Energy Homes.

From Enniscorthy and now based at the new development in Gorey, Wexford Low Energy Homes is very much a family affair, owned by Dan Morrissey with several members of the family contributing to their continued success.

Currently halfway through the sale of Ard Uisce, a 50 house development in Wexford Town, the opportunity arose last year to build on this wonderful site on the Ballytegan Road, less than half a mile from Main Street, Gorey.

These 22 classic three bedroom semi-detached houses are A rated with well insulated cavity block construction and PV Solar panels.

With a smooth render to the front, they have low maintenance but modern looking pebble dash to the sides and rear.

The gardens are generous and each is surrounded with proper block walls and to the front there is a concrete driveway allowing for off street car parking.

The development itself has a stylish stonewall entrance marking it out as a desirable address from the start.

Inside, the design is contemporary with mock fireplaces and the option of a stove if desired.

Modern Shaker style kitchens from Cedarwood Kitchens can be taken as standard or again can be upgraded if desired.

You can also design your own kitchen from scratch should you wish.

The same options are available with both bathrooms and tiling, there is a standard package available but any modifications or upgrades are allowable provided this is all agreed in advance of the roof going on.

We find that a lot of the younger first time buyers are amazed and delighted by this flexibility which hasn’t been in the marketplace for some seven or eight years.

Currently priced at €240,000 for the three bedroom semi-detached model (four left) and €265,000 for the three bedroom detached model (only one left).

These prices reflect Gorey’s easy commuting distance to Dublin and for those for whom this is not an issue there is still great value to be had down in Wexford Town where the three bedroom detached model is still only €220,000 and there are also four bedroom detached houses available from €240,000.

Choices for everyone with Open Viewings this Saturday 29th April at Ard Uisce, Wexford Town from 10.30am to 12noon and Gleann an Ghairdín in Gorey from 2pm – 3.30pm. through sole agents, Kearney & Co. Wexford.
