PAINTING EXHIBITION

The Oldcourt Painting Group is a group of local amateur painters who get together on a weekly basis. There, they develop their skills under the tutelage of talented local artist, Margaret Kent. On this coming Saturday/Sunday, April 29/30 the group is hosting an exhibition of their work in the Cabin at Sweeney’s Garden Centre, Marshmeadows New Ross.

The exhibition will run from 10 a. m. to five p. m. each day and will also feature works by local crafts people who have been invited to participate. All are welcome to come along and enjoy the works of local artists and the craft persons in this unique exhibition.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

The First Holy Communion Ceremony takes place in the Church of the Assumption next Sunday, April 30, during the 11 o’clock Mass. There will be a Mass of Preparation for the children and their parents this Tuesday evening at 7.30 p.m.

COMMUNITY ALERT

The annual subscription to the Parish Alert System is now due. Costing only €10 per year committee members will be calling to all households in the area from the first week in May. The text alert system (Phone No-083 1999585) has been a great success with 420 households in the parish having received regular alerts in the past year.

Tullogher-Rosbercon Community Alert have installed a number of home monitoring alarms in parishioners homes during the past year. This is a parish initiative that can be of great benefit to home owners with all the administration and installation taken care of by the Community Alert Committee representative. BINGO

The next session is on this Wednesday night in the Parish Hall at 8-30 p. m. with the lotto jackpot now standing at €225 and the bingo pay out €1,200. All are welcome to come along and try your luck.
