Dane Tyghe NOMINATION: W ex ford Social Media/ Digital Marketing Award

Nominated in the Digital Media and Social Media category, Dane Tyghe has managed to combine his love of video making with his job as a Driving Instructor in Wexford town. Dane is very active on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter where he uploads high quality driving lesson videos on a regular basis to help his customers with their driving skills. His Facebook page has nearly 1,000 likes and his YouTube channel has over 450 subscribers and an average of 20,000 video views per month.

“It’s a combination of working one to one with a person but then pointing them in the direction of my videos as well”, says Dane. “They compliment each other quite well, and a video will help explain or reinforce the rules of the road better than written notes or a book ever could”.

Dane’s videos are not just specifically aimed at learner drivers, as he says himself “Just because you pass the test doesn’t mean you know everything, drivers of all levels will benefit from watching my videos, rules of the road and junctions change over time so updating and refreshing your knowledge can be a wise move. Good, safe driving is for life, not just the driving test”
