Celebrity chef Dundon to fire up Taste of Dublin foodies with cooking demo

THERE will be a strong Wexford flavour to this year’s Taste of Dublin weekend after it was revealed that a local favourite will be playing a significan­t role in Ireland’s premier culinary event.

Kevin Dundon of Dunbrody Country House, the luxury hotel and spa in Arthurstow­n, is one of the internatio­nally renowned chefs participat­ing this year, displaying their cooking skills to more than 32,000 attendees. Taste of Dublin will run from Thursday, June 15, to Sunday, June 18, in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens and is expected to draw tens of thousands of foodies to the gardens.

More than 30 leading chefs will be participat­ing in this year’s event with Kevin joined by others including Neven Maguire, Darina Allen, Jean Christophe Novelli, Clodagh McKenna, MasterChef Ireland’s Robin Gill, Daniel Clifford and many more. More than 20 of Ireland’s finest restaurant­s will be participat­ing while attendees will have more than 160 food and drink demonstrat­ions and exhibition­s to choose from.

‘We’re delighted to have representa­tion from Wexford at this year’s Taste of Dublin,’ said Taste of Dublin Managing Director Avril Bannerton.

‘ There is such a strong food and drink scene in Wexford with so much talent and flavour on offer. We had to build that into our plans for this year so we’re delighted that Kevin Dundon is involved, flying the flag for Wexford. He will be showcasing some of the immense skill and fantastic ability in the kitchen that has made Dunbrody House such a success.’
