Hoteliers launch new hotel
WEXFORD hoteliers Anthony and Colm Neville, owners of the popular four star Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club in Enniscorthy and Crown Bar in Wexford, have just launched the latest addition to their portfolio, the new Midlands Park Hotel and Conference Centre in Portlaoise.
The new hotel, formerly the fourstar Portlaoise Heritage Hotel, was officially launched on May 15, following a €7 million investment by the enterprising County Wexford family.
Co-owner Anthony Neville said: ‘We are delighted to have purchased a well-established and much-loved hotel, and with our significant investment and expertise, we have been able to improve the facilities we know our customers want most.’
The transformation of the luxurious hotel included the renovation and redesign of 110 deluxe guest bedrooms, a new exclusive floor of five specially designed executive suites including an opulent and indulgent bridal suite, Kelly’s Steakhouse Restaurant, Triog Restaurant, Charter Bar and Leisure Club with 22m pool.
The Nevilles have appointed Dara Cruise as general manager.
He was formerly the Director of Operations at the five star luxury Powerscourt Hotel Spa and Resort in Enniskerry.
‘We are certainly taking the hotel in a new direction this year, and we look forward to welcoming both regular and new customers.’
In 2015 the Neville brothers expanded their hotel portfolio with the purchase of the hotel which currently employs around 100 people on a full and part time basis.
