LITTER PICK-UP

As part of our effort to improve our local community we will carry out a number of litter pick-ups across the Rathgarogue Curacy over the coming weeks. The committee invites volunteers to join us for one hour for our first litter pick-up on Saturday, May 27, at 11 a.m, outside Rathgarogue Church.

We have bags, gloves and some litter-pickers, provided by New Ross Municipal Council. We have some hi-vis vests but would ask people who have their own to bring them along to make sure we have enough for everyone.

For this first litter pick-up we will begin within the village and the roads leading out of it. For further information, contact Séamus at 087 9582771. FLOWERS IN RATHGAROGUE

Are you interested in flowers? If yes we invite you to volunteer some of your time to a new project being established by the Rathgarogue Curacy Committee. We have successfully applied for funding to Wexford County Council for a small amenities grant to plant flowers in the village.

We want to improve the look of our village and we believe that flowers and shrubs can help us do that. If you are interested in helping out with this project we invite you to a meeting on Wednesday, May 31, at 8 p.m, in the Rathgarogue Community Centre.

At the meeting we will be guided by Rory O’Neill, a local horticulturist, who will give advice on the types of flowers/plants we should consider growing to provide the most colours over the coming months and to help us plan ahead for next year and beyond. We hope you can join us. There will be a cup of tea for all. For further information contact Nici at 087 4153926. CUSHINSTOWN ICA
