DoneDeal.ie presents €38,670

-

WEXFORD-BASED DoneDeal.ie, has raised €38,670 through its most recent charity month initiative, the proceed going to the RNLI, the Special Care Baby Unit care of Friends of Wexford General Hospital and Wexford Children’s Diabetes Clinic.

Each charity received €12,890 from DoneDeal to invest in important projects over the coming months.

Wexford Children’s Diabetes Clinic was founded two years ago to help and support the children’s diabetes clinic in Wexford General Hospital. The charity was founded by parents and young adults who have attended the diabetes clinic over the years, and works as a support network for both children and parents, all learning how to cope with type 1 diabetes in their daily lives.

The Special Care Baby Unit at Wexford General Hospital cares for approximately 400 babies each year, who require medical attention immediately after birth. The main goal of the unit is to deliver all the medical care that sick babies may require and to discharge infants as soon as they are medically fit, ensuring that each baby and their family can resume normal family life.

Three DoneDeal staff members specifically chose these worthwhile charities to benefit by way of receiving 10 per cent of the cost of ads placed during the month. The total raised for the month was divided equally between the three charities.
