Entrepreneur Karl off to New York

-

A Wexford-based entrepreneur will travel to the world’s largest franchise exhibition in New York later this month, with the intention of expanding his successful franchise portfolio.

Karl Fitzpatrick, who is also the Managing Director of a leading employment service provider, Chevron Training and Recruitment, acquired the Master Franchise rights for Bricks 4 Kidz in Ireland in 2015.

Bricks 4 Kidz is an internationally-renowned children’s educational play franchise which operates in over 40 countries worldwide.

The franchise specialises in the development and delivery of curriculum based programmes, to teach Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths (STEM) to children through imaginative and stimulating LEGO® activities. Karl was confident that the enduring popularity of LEGO® would ensure that Bricks 4 Kidz was an instant hit within the Irish market. ‘LEGO® has earned and maintained its reputation as the world’s most powerful brand and for generations, it has been the toy of choice for children across the globe.’

With a presence in South and North Dublin, as well as the flagship creativity centre in Wexford town, Bricks 4 Kidz is now in the process of recruiting new franchise partners around the country and is already in advanced talks to bring the innovative concept to Tipperary, Galway, Limerick and Meath.

Last year, Karl invested in a complimentary children’s educational play franchise, when he introduced Sew Fun Studios to Ireland. This US franchise concept teaches sewing, fashion and design skills to children.

Now, ahead of the International Franchise Expo in New York from June 15 to 17, Karl, a director with the Irish Franchise Association, is searching for a further children’s educational play franchise, which will enhance STEM education in Ireland.
