In October, 2016, a fire occurred in Ballyhack which left a local, elderly woman without a home. A meeting was held in the Village and everybody expressed the need to do something to get her back. People volunteered their time and expertise and a committee was set up to raise the money to help make this happen. Over the past seven months, the community has worked hard to restore the house.
We, the committee, would like to express a very heartfelt thank you to all who have made this whole effort possible. This was truly a community effort and one that the people of Ballyhack and the surrounding areas can be proud of. Welcome Home Minnie.

BARN DANCE 2017 – The third annual St James’ GA.A. Club barn dance will take place on Saturday, July 15, in Shielbaggan. Tickets for the night will go on sale in the coming week and will be available in local shops and through all members of the club. There will be good music, great food and most of all plenty of banter to be had on the night.
PURPLE AND GOLD – Well done to Matthew O’Hanlon and the Wexford senior hurling team on defeating Laois on Sunday last in Portlaoise. All roads lead to Wexford Park for those lucky enough to have a ticket on Saturday evening next. We wish Matthew and the team best of luck.

Dates for the annual patron and blessing of the Graves have now been finalised. On Saturday, June 17, the graveyards at Poul (6 p.m.) and Rathimney (6.30 p.m.) will be visited. On Saturday, June 24, the graveyard at Nash will be visited at 6 p.m. This will be followed at 7 p.m. by a visit to Gusserane Cemetery where outdoor mass will take place, weather permitting. The patron this year falls on the actual feast day of St John the Baptist, after whom the church in Gusserane is dedicated. KNOCK

We are now taking bookings for Sugradh summer Camp 2017 at SWWFRC. The camp will run on the following dates.
WEEK 1: July 3 to July 7 (4-7 years) 10 a.m. 3 p.m., WEEK 2: July 10 to July 14 (4-7 years) 10 a.m. 3 p.m., WEEK 3: July 17 to July 21 (4-7/8-12 years) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., WEEK 4: July 24 to July 28 (4-7/8-12 years) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (This camp will run subject to numbers).
