NT LIVE: SALOME

NT Live presents ‘Salome’ in Movies@Gorey on June 22 at 7 p.m. Director Yaël Farber draws on multiple accounts to create her urgent, hypnotic production which will be broadcast live from the stage of the National Theatre. May contain nudity.

FASHION SHOW AND DRAW

A fashion show and monster draw to raise money for Campile brothers Harvey and Archie Smith is being held in the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross, at 7.30 p.m.

Both Harvey and Archie suffer from cerebral palsy and require round the clock care. Their parents Paul and Michelle have organised the fundraiser to raise money for a specially adapted vehicle for hospital appointmen­ts.

The fashion show will feature fashion from local boutiques. Mega draw prizes include a €400 voucher for Irish Ferries courtesy of the ferry company and Hookless Village and a €100 River Island handbag.

TOWNLAND NAMES TALK

Conchubhar O Crualaoich gives a talk on ‘The Townlands Names of Co Wexford’ in Bunclody Library at 7 p.m. The talk is primarily about the informatio­n that place names can provide about language, settlement and identity in the county prior to the early nineteenth century.
