ROSSLARE CHURCH CONCERT

The award winning choir of Scoil Mhuire Rosslare, its orchestra and junior pupils will showcase their talents in their annual concert in St Brigid’s church at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

SUMMER SOLSTICE WALK

The Hope Cancer Support Centre hold their annual Smmer Solstice 5K Walk and Ceremony of Light and Healing on Curracloe Beach at 8 p.m. All are invited to go along and be part of this very special ceremony and to enjoy a peaceful and serene walk on this beautiful beach.

OLIVER IN BALLINDAGG­IN

Pupils of St Colman’s NS present ‘Oliver’ in Ballindagg­in Community Hall at 7.30 p.m. (Tuesday and Wednesday). Admission adults €5, and children €2.

REMEMBERIN­G 1798 ON VINEGAR HILL

To mark the 219th anniversar­y of the Battle of Vinegar Hill, the National 1798 Rebellion Centre hosts The Longest Day, a memorial ceremony rememberin­g all those who died during the 1798 rebellion. This year’s ceremony, at 7.20 p.m., begins at the bottom of Vinegar Hill where pikemen will assemble and march to the top. Representa­tives from the different religious communitie­s and councils will gather for a blessing, which will be followed by poetry recitation and a wreath laying ceremony. Following the commemorat­ion on Vinegar Hill, all are invited to Enniscorth­y Castle for light refreshmen­ts.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

First night of Scoil Mhuire Coolcotts’ annual school show, Beauty and the Beast, featuring the graduating class of 2017 in what promises to be a musical and visual delight. Tickets available from the school. Runs for three nights - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with all shows starting at 7.30 p.m.
