BOAT CLUB BARBECUE

There will be a fundraisin­g barbecue at 5 p.m., in the Wexford Harbour Boat and Tennis Club in aid of the Slaney Purple Paddlers Dragon Boat for Breast Cancer Survivors. Admission is €10 and €25 for a family.

BASKET WEAVING COURSE

One-day basket weaving course with Irene Kelly in the Irish National Heritage Park.The workshop is aimed at both complete newcomers to the craft and also those who have a bit of experience and would like to improve on their skills. Expect to make small basket as well as covering the growing, harvesting, storing and preparatio­n of the willows for working. The course runs from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and costs €80. SINFONIA SUMMER CONCERT

Wexford Sinfonia stages summer concert at the National Opera House at 8 p.m. The concertwil­l have wide appeal for lovers of classical music.

The three pieces being performed will be the Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis by Vaughan Williams, with the Contempo String Quartet, The Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo with guest guitar soloist Redmond O’Toole; and Symphony No 9 in C ‘The Great’ by Schubert.

ROSE OF FETHARD

Help choose the Rose of Fethard in Tintern Complex, Ballyculla­ne. Doors open and 8 p.m. with the show beginning at 9 p.m. Music with DJ Kieran Furlong, and bar open. Admission €10 with tickets available from any committee member. Hanton’s Bus available for transport there and back. All proceeds to Fethard St Mogue’s GAA Club.
