SATURDAY was a landmark day for New Ross Rugby Club as the club’s greatest rugby player lined out for the Lions against the All Blacks.
Prior to the match, club president Michael Bailey sent some last-minute words of encouragement to the Campile man as he faced into one of the biggest games of his life.
A crowd gathered at New Ross Rugby Club early on Saturday morning for the e kick-off of the opening game against the world’s best team.
Ever since Tadhg, pictured right during the game, was chosen to line out for the Lions in April, excitement has been building across the county at the prospect of seeing the prop in action.
True to form, he has been one off ththe tteam’s’ bbestt players. Unfortunately the team fell to the mighty All Blacks on Saturday, but Tadhg is expected to line out again in the upcoming tests.
