New Ross’s ‘Adele’ releases See Me song
SEE ME, a song produced by County Wexford trio The Cotton Tree Project, has been released by New Ross teenager Hayley Crosbie, a classically trained singer who made a name for herself at this years Wexford’s Got Talent competition.
Described as a cross between Adele and Emeli Sandé, this young Wexford singer has a voice far beyond her 17 years.
Hayley, from Creacon, is classically trained at Scuola Del Canto Libero with Marketa Malcova anda at 15 years old performed in an opera in Prague.P She appeared in the recent Wexford’s Got Talent and was a finalist in the All Ireland CU Factor. She is currently a student of Superstars Stage Academy and has participated in many showsh and musicals in Wexford and New Ross.
The song was recorded in Orchard Studio with Brendan McCarthy at the sound desk and went on global release on June 13.
Hayley is a fifth year St Mary’s student, and she is performing the national anthem at the Irish America Festival in New Ross this weekend.
She takes inspiration from artists including Etta James and Frank Sinatra.
Hayley said: ‘I have been singing for years in various shows and when I hooked up the lads I knew I had found a song writing team I could work with. I am really excited about this opportunity. We firmly believe See Me is the song to catapult us onto a global stage.’
Lyrics writer Fergal O’Byrne said: ‘We had a very clear vision when we wrote the lyrics and music for this song; we knew we needed a very special type of person to perform it.’
