Man convicted of driving without motor insurance
JOSEPH NOLAN (33) of Springwood in Ballymitty was convicted at the District Court in Wexford of driving without insurance.
The offence dated back to Wellingtonbridge December 26 last and it was admitted.
Defending solicitor Tim Cummings sought to avoid any disqualification, stating that his client was trying to set up a mobile phone accessories business.
The loss of his licence might prove fatal to the new enterprise, suggested Mr Cummings.
Judge John Cheatle contented himself with imposing a €300 fine, with no further punishment.
